Feeling small in the face of wonder is a powerful experience. Drawing on moments of everyday awe and my background as an ICU nurse, my work demonstrates our interconnectedness to each other and the natural world around us. My paintings are about finding a moment to pause and feel something of the wonder, beauty and heartbreak of being alive. I'm not particularly interested in making a pretty painting. I'm interested in creating something that connects us, human to human. We need this now more than ever.
