Lisette graduated Art History at the UvA before she finished her degree in Fine Art in 2019 at the University of Arts Utrecht. She now lives and works between Amsterdam and Lisbon. Lisette is a multimedia artist who developed a particular interest in the behavior and habits of different cultures. She started to recognize a quest for belonging, within the people she met, each on their contemporary pilgrimage. Traveling frequently herself, the artist researches identity, collective memory, and language. Via various layers and color arrangements derived from different visual motives, Lisette takes you on a journey through different approaches to contemporary (sub)cultures in a recognizable yet unfamiliar way. Crossing invisible borders that have never felt more present.
