I am an artist, musician, and poet/journaler. I think of every moment, awake and dreaming, as a story, and in my art I collect and distill the story. The latest phase of my art has been an unsubtle playing with a grid structure and the gesture of time/story. The grid can plot gestural lines and accidental movements, and in layering the framework also becomes movement. I include text with almost every piece, often 'How to' titles written at the bottom. I consider the text at least half of the composition because not only does it interact with the image, but it breaks the fourth wall and interacts with the viewer as well. I also want to convey a continuity of work from journal to painting.
