The "From Black" series is a collection of paintings resulting from two rules: 1) Starting with the color black and 2) An empty mind with no specific visual concept in mind. The color black represents a color that challenges artists while the spontaneous nature of not having an intention of what to paint explores painting of a more subconscious nature.
