Alexander Robinson (He/Him) is a Caribbean Canadian self-taught visual artist based in Toronto/Tkaronto. Alexander’s practice is centred around the preservation of personal memories imbued with subtle odes to his roots in which personal belongings like afro picks are used as mark-making tools. Playfully sentimental, literal depictions of events take a backseat in his work as he prioritizes the emotional essence of his memories and the ways his upbringing and cultural background influence and mold them.
