If Taylor’s on fire, we’ll be made of ashes too. 36x36x1.5” (painted 2024) This original acrylic painting is done on cradled birch panel with raw wood edges and varnished with a satin-finish UV protectant coating to resist fading over time. Burning Red is part of a series of pop-culture inspired acrylics in bright colours that brought as much joy to paint as they hopefully will bring to collectors who choose to hang them. I love creating that feeling of surprise, a laugh, or smile, in the viewer, by presenting a familiar subject in an unfamiliar or unexpected way.
