Warhol’s entire artistic output has been distilled right down to three small 64 x64 pixel thumbnails of Jackie Kennedy, Liz Taylor and an Electric Chair and this became the inspiration for a series of 'Nightmares' : doomed and dripping celebrity portraits. Pure Evil is the alias of Welsh-born graffiti artist Charles Uzzell Edwards. His wide-ranging body of work includes the nightmare series, portraits of celebrities such as Jackie Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe, depicted with tears of dark paint under their eyes. After a decade in California, he moved back to London, became involved in Banksy’s pop-up gallery concept known as Santa’s Ghetto and it was around this time that the artist began spraying his now-famous images of fanged bunnies everywhere.
