The work of Vyczie Dorado moves on this fine line between humor and existentialism, creating cute yet disquieting characters able to stand as universals for a set of human attitudes and behavioral patterns in today’s society. Vyczie received her BFA at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art and was recipient of the Macedonia Institute Artist Residency in August of 2022 and has been featured in publications for Hyperallergic’s “A View from the Easel”, Ouch! magazine’s issue 2, and ”Emergency Index Vol. 9”, an annual book publication published by Ugly Duckling Presse.
