Hello there! I’m Simone, a 33 year old self taught artist. I have been painting on and off for years but during my recent battle against brain cancer painting became so much more. Painting has helped heal my mental health and grow as an artist. My way of painting may seem simple but it tells a story. My story. I refer to my art as a form of Afro abstract since many of my pieces feature women of color and their hair. I hope if you made it this far you saw something in what I do and wish to see more.
