Jason Bard Yarmosky is an American artist known for his paintings and drawings exploring ideas of aging, culled from his exploration of memory, time and mortality. His abstract paintings, Rainbow bodies, investigate loss and transcendence. The paintings reference the Tibetan Buddhist belief of Rainbow Bodies; achieving a level of realization which transforms the physical body into radiant lights. Yarmosky's paintings depict colorful light emerging from the darkness. This work also references Plato's Allegory of the Cave and alludes to there always being light whether or not we choose to see it.
