Huey Ruckus attended Savannah College of Art & Design, before dropping out to pursue a career in music. Perhaps better known by his stage name Rejjie Snow, Ruckus is an award winning rapper, songwriter & producer. Ruckus’ paintings document his experiences of everyday life, mixed with his subconscious and conscious thoughts. A seductive mix of sprayed lines combines with scrawled marks and feathered brushstrokes to build powerful images that explore colour, gesture & surface whilst hinting at cartoon-esque visual languages of the 90s. Ruckus has previously shown with Chilli Art Projects, London & Sheriff Gallery, Paris. He has published books such as Ugly Duckling with Motto Berlin.
