I have developed in art slowly over the years, always maintaining, between one apprenticeship and another, an appreciation for creating my own supports for my paintings, a desire that certainly comes from childhood, because my parents always encouraged me to recycle things in order to reuse them and also to conserve what was valuable. So my works are created mainly from collages of discarded office papers, old book pages and cotton fabrics, allowing for rich variations in textures, which I use to recreate the appearance of old walls that have accumulated paint, poster fragments and graffiti over the years, an element that I use a lot as a background in my works. I love being able to give a new life to discarded materials, above all because of the possibility of creating unique pieces that offer clues to the handiwork done, while at the same time arousing feelings of curiosity and nostalgia. The influences on my art come from an amalgam of the pop art of the 60s, the graffiti aesthetic of the 80s and 90s and the more recent street art movement. I am driven to contemplate the beauty of the Creation and to preserve what is beautiful, good and true. In my artworks, I try to convey the joy and energy that these impulses give me, in the hope that they may contribute to the inner upliftment of others who appreciate them.
