To me, art is...

My passion. Currently I’m finding old wall paintings/ graffiti in Die Geheime just outside Berlin, built by the Nazis from 1939-42 then inhabited by the Russians until the early 90s it is now an incredible site that has been a hot spot for graffiti artists for over 30 years. Soon this building will be refurbished into flats and the artwork gone forever. Each piece of my current project is an image within die genheim, each of my interpretations has remnants/ fragments from the original work.

Art is important to me because...

It allows me to form, regurgitate, reform, it allows me time not to think, it is a limitless expression in a sometimes expressionless world. It is my food for thought as I currently scavenge through an old building recreating works of graffiti, built by the Nazis, now a shell, a rural gallery, I’m taking pieces of wallpaper and pieces of the graffiti, these pieces will find themselves in my doppelgängers, I’m imbuing them.
