About this artwork
Black and white ink painting made on a collage of newspaper articles placed together to create a truly unique background. Part of the artistic process involves browsing through journal in search for articles that would suit the finished piece. About the artist
I am a Polish-born artist who currently resides in San Martiño de Meis, Pontevedra, Spain. My passion for images and the way in which the world is perceived by others has been a driving force throughout my life. As a teenager, I began to create my own interpretations of the world around me through drawing. While my work varies in nature, paper is almost always my canvas of choice. I create unique backgrounds by collaging newspaper articles together, which I then use as a foundation for my ink or acrylic drawings and paintings. The process of selecting the articles is an integral part of my artistic process, as I search for pieces that will complement the finished work. My inspiration comes from a variety of sources, but I find black and white photographs to be particularly powerful. I believe that every piece of art should tell a story or be a part of one. Through my work, I strive to convey my own interpretation of the world and the stories that it holds.
