Chykeem Nichols, a Brooklyn born visual artist utilizes photography as a visual narration language that paves the amplification of voices. Prioritizing intimacy and attitude he offers A perspective that is derivative of Black culture, & an eagerness to storytell. His practice of analog photography reinforces intentions and furthers interpretations of the stories told. He aims to preserve the culture whilst progressing and acknowledging the ideals that have shaped him. Projects “Momma’s Boy” and “The Other Brownstones” pushes his agenda as it showcases unique voices and is authentically executed.
