Toronto born painter, Joseph Romantini is a leading contemporary artist who is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design in Drawing and Painting. Joseph has developed a recognizable style employing a technique of thinly applied layers of oil paint, acrylic dots and scoring for texture , producing an exciting blend of realistic and abstract elements in each of his works. “The current work is a comment on how most of our daily experiences are spent looking at a screen. Through my technique, I try and bring the future and past into a singular space to see if modern and traditional values can co- exist on canvas.
