Tommy Motherway is a self taught, completely original artist who combines, but not limited to, comic art, urban graffiti style, font, abstract, southwestern, expressionism, and surreal imagery to create paintings, one of a kind concepts and a play on words. As a boy Mr Motherway studied the works of his grandmother, Natalie Norris (Fiske) (landscapes) and Grandfather Cornelius Fiske, (expressionist characters), and later urban and surrealism art. As an artist he feels that the work itself should be felt by the observer and the image in question and leads you to their own conclusion(s). With a mix of symbolism as well, the initiate is taken to a universal platform of thought.
