My first childhood memory of art is...
When I was 9 years old, my parents took us on a summer trip around Europe. While we were in Poland, my father's homeland, we took a two week bus tour of the country. In fourteen days, we saw fifteen cathedrals! That was more than enough for my nine year old self! Sprinkled in between those church visits though, we saw some captivating, joyful, modern public art. It was created to help them recover from the war. Those installations made me want to create happiness, through artwork of my own.
