Using the symbolism of death on holiday, Jake’s work navigates the highs & lows of our finite lives, creating solidarity and encouraging vulnerability around the reality of our inner oceans. Having lived with depression and anxiety, Jake’s paintings are portholes into the often hidden yet all-too-common facets of our shared human experience. With the inevitability of death as motivation to be grateful for the moment at hand, Jake’s art recognizes that no one gets out of this life alive, but we can all find paradise along the way.
