Iran allowed me to lay the foundations for my personal and professional education and helped me understand what kind of sign I wanted to leave along the way. I arrived in Italy driven by the need to give shape and color to my emotions and sensations, to give space to that boldness that I had never allowed myself to release. I have chosen to give artistic prominence to all those situations that often do not have a face or a name and to highlight the torment of those who do not have a choice. My artistic practice focuses on exploring the lesions that a trauma, physical or psychological, leaves on the human body, especially on the female one. Not because it is weaker or stronger, but because of its ability to assimilate the pain. I want to analyze the nature of this pain and delimit its margins, so that it becomes tangible for those who have never experienced it. I look for inspiration in the Zoroastrian legends that keep me tied to my origins, in Persian literature which is the fulcrum of the relationship with my father and, finally, in the word, as a medium that I’ve had to limit for too long and to which I now recognize the right value.
