I am an artist and photographer originally from València, Spain, but now based in Croydon, South London. I trained as a figurative painter but my practice currently encompasses abstraction as well as figuration. In my abstract practice, I am very interested in the material properties of the painting medium, and I often work in heavy oil impasto to create surface textures on my canvases in which markmaking and the painter's hand are very visible. Themes explored in my abstract work include memory, emotion, and the passage of time. Colour and composition are also very important in my creative process.
