Collector's Perspective

My first childhood memory of art is...

Growing up I was always mystified by the various medians of art walking around NYC. From sculptures in Rockefeller Centre to art on the Highline even the graffiti on buildings I just loved the creativity that was expressed in multiple medians.

A world without art is...

A world without a history. Art is extremely important because it captures a certain place, or action at a distinct time. The stories told through art create an emotion and can bring you to a world you would have never embarked on. A world without art would be a world without meaning.

A theme in art that I gravitate towards is...

I love cinematography and emotions. I try to tell a certain story though my art without the lens of a camera but with a feel of the texture. I don’t disclose faces so the viewer can experience themselves in the art no matter the gender, color or background anyone can be in the piece once the tone is set.

An art experience I loved...

The Jay-Z exhibit in the Brooklyn Public Library. The way his lyrics turned to art and attracted so many different people and cultures was absolutely astonishing. Everyone just wanted to see pieces of the journey and the story was told brilliantly without a moderator.
