To me, art is...

To me, art is more than just pieces of work, a sketch or a sculpture, a photograph or piece of music it's a way of perception. Everything is art if that is how your eyes colour the frame before you, the trees, the sky, even the way the refrigerator light glows on the kitchen tiles at midnight, or the manner in which those black spots cloud your vision after gazing into the sunlight for a moment too long, art is, to me.... A perspective.

Art is powerful because...

Art is powerful because you place .your. power within it. At times one can feel so disposable, so insignificant.. or perhaps so used and mistreated.. yet somehow, artists have the .power. To create something profoundly beautiful out of all that pain and anguish.

My favorite place to see art is...

Raw, out of gallery. Even.. dare I say unintentionally? When the artist had no expectation or hope of their scribbles or sketches being seen, but I get to experience that... That must be my favourite.

As a kid, a piece of art I made was...

When I was a child I mostly doodled with my little watercolor pencils or scribbled with pens, but I do vividly remember this one, huge drawing I made with paints and magazine cut outs and pens of a great big scary old castle, bats and spiders littering the corners of the page, spooky spirits looming.. and peering eyes hiding in the shadows. I don't think it should've been any suprise that I grew up to be the character that I am today 🕸️
